James Smith's '65 442
I have finally taken the opportunity to send my Olds pics to you. I would like to add that your
efforts in creating 442.com are greatly appreciated.
I rebuilt the engine
last winter on my own with the help of the information provided on your site. I also did the spindle
upgrade and installed disc brakes at that time.
I purchased the car out of Tampa two years ago. The previous owner's name was also Jim Smith. It was
like destiny. The engine was painted the 455 blue(much like Ford blue)and it had to go. The paint
job turned into a rebuild and several dollars. The history I was told about the car was that it once
belonged to the inventor of the tandem parachute harness. One never knows. Thanks again for your
work with 442.com
