I'm sure the only ones left in the GM parts network are from the 307s. These will interchange with the orignal one, but there may be some slight dimensional differences. As for filing the original fitting, I would not recommend a file, since it's tough to get that surface completely flat. Instead, use some wet/dry sandpaper on a piece of glass to ensure flatness.
