Greetings: I've been having some issues with my Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor on my 1971 Cutlass. My motor is a 1970 455 from a Toronado. I'm running a correct (professionally rebuilt)4bbl. 1970 Q-jet on the motor, but I've been having starting issues. For some reason she will not fire right up when cold, and I end up flooding the carb. It can be a problem to get her started when cold. When warm / hot, she'll fire right up with the first turn of the key. I've tried a bunch of different things to correct the problem but no luck. The carb runs perfectly once running. Beyond tthat, I'd like to switch to an aftermarket carb. I'm running a functional OAI system. Could someone tell me the best aftermarket (Edelbrock?) carburetor to run (CFM?) on my motor with the stock intake & functional OAI? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
