12/16/2011 1968 442 W-30 Recently rescued what appears to be a true W-30. Non original engine all OAI parts are missing. Red fenders are still there, some genius decided to paint them black. The paint is chipping off so you can see the red underneath. Factory oai cut outs with the washer bottle mounted on the passenger side. Motor is a Olds 350 4 barrel. Auto transmission, buckets, a/c car. Color is G Willow Gold with a black vinyl top. Car runs & drives fine. Does have surface rust as it sat for 7 yrs. prior to my purchase. It runs & drives decent. Trunk was rusted shut but have new latch set for it. Also have a second set of new in box SS-II 16" wheels. It does have a tilt steering, clock works, radio works, & most all of lights, just no stop lights yet. Interior needs restoration as well as the top under vinyl. 8/2/2011 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible. Not a Clone... Used as a daily driver....or driven when the weather was nice. Garaged and covered through winter. New: Tires, wood grain steering wheel with 442 logo, exhaust system(in rear bumper), cd/mp3 player w/kick panel speakers, interior carpeting and truck carpet, OEM Air Cleaner (plus chrome Morosso cleaner), rear axles, u-joints, brakes, transmission service/oil change, rebuilt steering column with new key cylinder, convertible top, much more.. Needs: Minor scratches/rock dings ( 3 on driver rear quarter), misaligned rear windows (positioned fine but need work on tracks), psgr side brake light works but needs new switch as the metal tab is loose, control arm bushings (no issues with driveability but very light noise with big bumps) Interior in great shape but drivers seat has seperation at seams....(no big cracks or splits....still in great shape) Under dash duct work (ac/heat) was cracked and removed. Needs two pieces. Motor: 455 out of a 1970 Toronado. Confirmed from oil fill numbers, head numbers and block numbers. Built in same factory as car, in the same year. Period correct but not matching numbers. Runs great...rebuild less than 2000 miles ago. No smoke, small leak where triple gauge plugs in....to be fixed this week. Approx. 13 miles per gallon.....out of a 455!! Has never overheated or had any issues. Engine compartment very clean. Transmission: TH 400, Automatic. Shifts very firm and clean with zero slip. Rear End: New axles (had vibration when I bought it) with new ujoints; open rear end; 3:42 gear ratio..... Air condition blows but not cold....heat blows but not hot. Compressor kicks on with no drag on motor, switches work great. All gauges work as do all lights except interior lights...havent checked them out.
